Have you ever wondered how the behaviours you see in the classroom, around the school and all around you are influenced and happen the way they do? To know behaviour, you have to know the mind. And to know how to influence the mind, you have to know what language can do to the mind, what effects it can have and how you can influence those behaviours with just the words you use. We are always in an emotional state, or mixed states, which can be influenced by the communications we receive.
Once you understand the power of the language you use and how you can structure your communication to produce the responses you want, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. This book will teach you how to control behaviour with just the words you use. The content of this book has been put together from over twenty five years of experience and work and research in schools and specialist behaviour schools across the UK

Specially designed journal for your Solution Focused journey.
Solution Focused approach as the name suggests is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek therapy.
A Solution Focused approach is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. In the most basic sense it is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioural change.
Solution Focused practitioners develop solutions by first generating a detailed description of how the client’s life will be different when the problem is gone or their situation improved to a degree satisfactory to the client. Therapist and client then carefully search through the client’s life experience and behavioural repertoire to discover the necessary resources needed to co-construct a practical and sustainable solution that the client can readily implement. Typically this process involves identifying and exploring previous “exceptions,” e.g. times when the client has successfully coped with or addressed previous difficulties and challenges. In an inherently respectful and practical interview process, Solution Focused therapists and their clients consistently collaborate in identifying goals reflective of clients’ best hopes and developing satisfying solutions
Another way that therapists seek to help the brain re-wire is by using predictions. The predictive capacity of the brain is immense and can be utilised into providing a positive hook with which to close any cognitive dissonance towards the positive end of the spectrum. By writing down your predictions for the following day and then reviewing them the next evening helps to sharpen the minds ability to analyse and adjust to the day, helping it orient itself toward the numerous positive experiences and moments often missed in the day.
Solution Focused approaches has continued to grow in popularity, both for its usefulness and its brevity, and is currently one of the leading schools of psychotherapy in the world.
